ABOUT
VIMA Art Fair is an international contemporary art fair held in Limassol, Cyprus, bringing together galleries, artists, collectors, and cultural professionals from across the Eastern Mediterranean and beyond.
The 2026 edition features 150 artists, 30 galleries, and participants from over 20 countries, presenting over 25 events, including exhibitions, talks, performances, and special projects.
CURATORIAL PROJECT
As part of the fair, a curatorial project by Kostas Stasinopoulos — The Waves Crashing — unfolds across two locations.
Taking the wave as a mode of relating—one that resists fixed meaning, linear time, and immediate resolution—The Waves Crashing invites moments of pause, resonance, and reflection. Across four days, performances, film screenings, artist talks, and DJ sets activate both outdoor and indoor spaces of the fair, with part of the screening programme hosted at Rialto Theatre.
The project features works and contributions by Jeph Vanger, Chrysanthi Koumianaki, Paky Vlassopoulou, Christos Kyriakides, Stelios Kallinikou, SERAPIS Maritime, alongside performances by Lewis Walker and Magnus Westwell, as well as takeovers by Sessions, Koullou Makka Collective, Korai, and others.
