ABOUT
VIMA Art Fair returns for its second edition from 14–17 May 2026 at The Warehouse by IT Quarter in Limassol, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. As Cyprus’s first contemporary art fair, VIMA brings together leading galleries, artists, and cultural practitioners from across the Mediterranean and beyond, creating a focused and intimate platform for discovery, dialogue, and exchange.
Positioned between geographies and cultures, VIMA operates as a meeting point—neither fully East nor West—offering an inclusive and accessible entry into contemporary artistic practices from the region. The 2026 edition presents galleries from around the region (by invitation only) and over 150 artists from more than 20 countries.
Participating galleries include some of the most established and dynamic spaces from the region and internationally.
A dynamic programme that extends beyond the fair itself into Limassol, Nicosia, and other locations across Cyprus. The program includes more than 25 events happening within the days of VIMA Art Fair.
CURATORIAL PROJECT
At the core of this year’s edition is The Waves Crashing, a Curatorial Project by Kostas Stasinopoulos, unfolding through a group exhibition and an intensive live programme.
The exhibition brings together artists: Diogo da Cruz, Manolis D. Lemos, Stelios Kallinikou, Chrysanthi Koumianaki, Christos Kyriakides, Fallon Mayanja, Imani Mason Jordan, Serapis Maritime, Louiza Ntourou-Orlof, Thanasis Totsikas, Jeph Vanger, and Paky Vlassopoulou.
Expanding beyond the exhibition, The Waves Crashing unfolds through a dense and multi-format programme of up to 25 events over three days, including film screenings presented both onsite at VIMA and in collaboration with Rialto Theatre, performances, live stage interventions, takeovers by artist groups and institutions, music programmes, and late-night gatherings and parties—creating a continuous rhythm of activity across the fair.
VIMA Art Fair 2026 also expands its public engagement through guided tours in Greek, English, and Russian, as well as dedicated children and family programmes developed in collaboration with A.G. Leventis Gallery, making the fair accessible to a broader and more diverse audience.
