Βασισμένο στην κλασική ιστορία του Σαρλ Περό και στο λιμπρέτο του Νικολάι Βόλκοφ, το έργο μαγεύει με την ποίηση, την κομψότητα και τον λυρισμό του. Από την παγκόσμια πρεμιέρα του στο Μπολσόι το 1945 μέχρι σήμερα, η Σταχτοπούτα παραμένει ανάμεσα στα πιο αγαπημένα μπαλέτα του διεθνούς ρεπερτορίου.
