Theatre of the NO proudly presents A Tribute to Tony Bennett, a captivating
musical evening celebrating one of jazz’s most beloved voices. On Friday,
November 7 at 21:30, the Alexandros Affolter Quartet takes the stage with
renewed energy and a refined repertoire to honor the upcoming 100th
anniversary of Tony Bennett’s birth.
Through heartfelt interpretations and elegant swing, the quartet will revisit
Bennett’s timeless classics from “Because of You” and “Rags to Riches” to “I
Left My Heart in San Francisco” and “The Good Life.” Audiences will be taken
on a vibrant and emotional journey through the Great American Songbook,
experiencing the sophistication, warmth, and enduring charm that defined
Bennett’s legendary career.
Spanning more than seven decades, with over 60 albums, 20 Grammy
Awards, and millions of records sold worldwide, Tony Bennett remains an
icon of jazz and popular music. Celebrated for his impeccable phrasing,
elegance, and emotional depth, Bennett bridged generations and inspired
countless artists. His Grammy-winning collaboration with Lady Gaga on
Cheek to Cheek reaffirmed his timeless artistry, while praise from legends like
Frank Sinatra cemented his place as one of the greatest interpreters of jazz in
history.
Alexandros Affolter, born in Amsterdam, studied Acting, Jazz, and Musical
Theatre at New York’s Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Since 1994, he has
performed at Europe’s leading jazz venues and major Greek festivals. A
respected figure in the jazz scene, he has collaborated with top musicians and
produced acclaimed shows such as Sinatra With A Twist. Recent highlights
include performances with the Athens Big Band and his ongoing residency
at “To Treno sto Rouf”, where he celebrates the legacies of Frank Sinatra
and Ella Fitzgerald.

Το Theatre of the NO, παρουσιάζει ένα αφιέρωμα στον Tony Bennett, μια
μαγευτική μουσική βραδιά αφιερωμένη σε μία από τις πιο αγαπημένες φωνές
της τζαζ. Την Παρασκευή 7 Νοεμβρίου στις 21:30, το Alexandros Affolter
Quartet ανεβαίνει στη σκηνή με ανανεωμένη ενέργεια και ένα εκλεπτυσμένο
πρόγραμμα για να τιμήσει τα 100 χρόνια από τη γέννηση του Tony
Bennett.

το 1994 έχει εμφανιστεί στα κορυφαία τζαζ κλαμπ της Ευρώπης και σε
σημαντικά ελληνικά φεστιβάλ. Έχει συνεργαστεί με εξέχοντες μουσικούς και
έχει παρουσιάσει επιτυχημένα σόου όπως το Sinatra With A Twist. Πρόσφατες
εμφανίσεις περιλαμβάνουν το Athens Big Band και την συνεχιζόμενη
καλλιτεχνική του παρουσία στο “To Treno sto Rouf”, όπου τιμά τις μουσικές
