Pallas Theater
The Historic Theater of Athens
The iconic Pallas Theater, constructed between 1931 and 1932, is one of the most significant cinema-theaters of the Interwar period in the Balkans. Designed in a neoclassical-modern style inspired by French aesthetics, it remains an architectural gem.
In the early 2000s, the theater underwent a meticulous renovation that honored its historical legacy while modernizing its facilities. Key architectural elements were preserved, and the stage and seating areas were redesigned to accommodate contemporary music and dance performances. The venue was further enhanced with state-of-the-art audiovisual systems.
Under the artistic direction of set designer Eva Nathena, the foyer was transformed into a stunning Art Deco space, adding a touch of timeless elegance.
Located on Voukourestiou Street—one of Athens’ most central and vibrant commercial streets, within the City Link complex—the theater is easily accessible via public transport, including Metro lines 2 and 3, and is in close proximity to numerous hotels.
Pallas Theater hosts a diverse range of events, including plays, concerts, film premieres, stand-up comedy shows, conferences, and performances, offering a robust schedule of high artistic quality.
