‘’Το ημερολόγιο ενός τρελού’’ Έχουμε τολμήσει να μιλήσουμε στον εαυτό μας? Έχουμε τολμήσει να εκφράσουμε τον κόσμο μας? Άραγε πως θα ήταν? Πως θα μας έβλεπαν? Ίσως να μας αποκαλούσε ο κόσμος τρελούς? Ποιος είναι άραγε ο τρελός? Ίσως ο Νικολάι Γκόγκολ προσπάθησε να δώσει απαντήσεις σε όσες ερωτήσεις αιωρούνται και στα απορημένα βλέμματα ανθρώπων όταν αντικρίζουν κάποιον που μπορεί ελεύθερα και ανοιχτά να εκφράζει τις σκέψεις ή τη δική του αποτύπωση του κόσμου. Μέσα από το ημερολόγιό του ο Αξέντι Ιβάνοβιτς Ποπρίτσιν θα δώσει τη δική του οπτική για την καθημερινότητά του και τη διέξοδό του από μία μίζερη καθημερινότητα που δεν ήταν αρκετή. Είτε για εκείνον ή για να καταφέρει να κατακτήσει τη γυναίκα που τον γοήτευσε. Ένα εμβληματικό έργο που τοποθετεί τις σκέψεις μας ανάμεσα στην απόλυτη λογική που φυλακίζει τις σκέψεις και στα όνειρα που ίσως σε κάποιους να φαίνονται σαν τρέλα.
